1. First Thing in the Morning

아침에 일어나면 먼저 하는 일

Dan's Alarm clock rings.   He weaks up. He gets out of bed. He goes into the bathroom. After using the toilet and flushing it, he washes his hands. He brushes his teeth, shaves and takes a shower. He dries himself off with a towel. Then, he brushes his hair. He gets dressed. He makes breakfast and eats it. Then, he leaves the apartment.

Dan의 자명종이 울리자 잠에서 깬다 침대에서 일어난다 화장실로 간다 화장실 사용후 물을 내리고 손을 씻는다. 이를 닦고, 면도하고, 쌰워를 한다 수건으로 몸을 닦는다 그러고 머리를 빗는다 옷을 입는다 아침식사를 준비하고 식사를 한다. 그다음 아파트를 선다.

 

습관적인 행동 표현

Dan이 아침에 잠자리에서 일어나고 모든 준비를 마친 뒤 집을 나서는 행동들은 매일 반복되는 일이다.

영어에서는 이 같은 습관적인 동작을 동사의 현재형으로 표현한다.

ex) I brush my teeth every day. 나는 매일 아침 이를 닦는다.

     On Saturdays, Dan sleeps late. 토요일에 Dan은 늦잠을 잔다.

     I (usually) eat cereal for breakfast. 나는 (보통) 아침 식사로 시리얼을 먹는다.

 

동사의 현재형과 힘께 쓰이는 시간 표현들
